“Taichung Pass Parent-Child Picnic Day” Draws Over 2,000 Attendees as Mayor Lu Joins Festivities at Lecheng Park

The Digital Affairs Bureau of Taichung City Government, in collaboration with the East District Office, hosted the successful “Taichung Pass Parent-Child Picnic Day” event at Lecheng Park in the Eastern District. More than a hundred families enthusiastically participated, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere. Children enjoyed an array of activities, while parents praised the event as one of the most unmissable activities in Taichung.

Director of the Digital Affairs Bureau, Lin Klong, highlighted that the event had blended the East District’s distinct railway culture and community atmosphere, creating a family-friendly celebration packed with activities for children. Popular characters like Peppa Pig and Miss Cranberry performed live shows, joined by magicians, clowns, and singers for added entertainment. Attendees also participated in a “Taichung Pass” small game and completed satisfaction surveys to redeem special gifts. The event attracted a large crowd, with children eagerly lining up to join the activities.

Director Lin announced that the Taichung Pass app has introduced several new features since its launch, including online applications, payment services, vaccine reservations, city government information, and shopping discounts, all of which have received positive feedback from the public. Moreover, the app has also launched several interactive games such as a lucky draw game, reality treasure hunt, and stamp collection. The Taichung Pass app now supports English, Japanese, and Korean, with plans to expand into additional languages, making it more accessible to a wider audience and enhancing Taichung’s international profile. 

The upcoming Taichung Pass Kids’ Games will be on December 1st in Tanzi District. In addition, popular characters Mr. Banana, Miss Cloud, and the Leopard Cat Family will attend the game with children. A popular breakthrough game on the Taichung Pass app will also return, allowing participants to win gifts upon completion. Meanwhile, the Taichung Shopping Festival is in full swing, offering daily prizes to users who scan and log into the Taichung Pass app or link it with the Ministry of Finance’s e-invoice system.
